BRUCE KULICK Q&A KISS HELL INTERNATIONAL
KISS HELL: Can you tell us a little about your new band?

BRUCE KULICK: JOHN CORABI AND I HAVE BEEN WRITING SONGS AND RECORDING DEMOS TOGETHER. WE HAVE BEEN JAMMING WITH A DRUMMER AND IT HAS BEEN REALLY EXCITING. KH: How did you hook up with John Corabi?

BK: I INEW JOHN FROM THE CRUE. NIKKE SIXX INTRODUCED US A LONG TIME AGO. I KNEW HE WAS TALENTED AND THOUGHT OF WORKING WITH HIM WHEN THE CRUE WENT BACK TO VINCE. KH: Who will handle the lead vocals? Will you sing any & will John be playing any guitar?

BK: JOHN IS A GREAT SINGER. I WILL SING A SONG OR TWO FOR THE FUN. JOHN IS A GREAT GUITARIST TOO.

KH: Can you tell us about the tour you recently did with Lenita Erickson?

BK: WE WENT TO SWITZERLAND FOR TWO WEEKS AND MOSTLY PLAYED IN THE ALPS! I DID A SET WITH MY DAT TAPE AND THEN LENITA JOINED ME AS I PLAYED ACOUSTIC.

KH: How would you describe the new music you're working on?

BK: IT IS HARD ROCK BUT WE ALSO HAVE SOME ACOUSTIC SONGS THAT ARE GREAT. MELODY AND HOOKS ARE IMPORTANT AS IN KISS AND MOTLEY.

KH: Once your band is on tour do you think you'll add any KISS songs to your set list?

BK: MAYBE. NOT REAL SURE WHAT SONGS.

KH: What guitars & amps are you using right now?

BK: ESP'S AND GIBSONS AND MARSHALL AMPS.

KH: Will you be doing "I Walk Alone" with your new band?

BK: I AM NOT SURE BUT IT REALLY IS A KISS SONG. KISS SHOULD RELEASE IT.

KH: Could you please give us your opinions on these solos?

"Uh! All Night"

BK: INTERESTING RIFF TO START OFF. COOL STUFF.

"Crazy Crazy Nights"

BK: VERY HOOKY WITH SOME PULL-OFFS ON THE THIRD STRING.

"No No No"

BK: COOL FAST BEGINNING AND SOME WILD STUFF THAT IS COOL.

"Rise To It"

BK: GOOD RIFFS.

"Zeptune"

BK: ME GOING WILD WITH LOTS OF STYLES.

"Spit"

BK: VERY COOL WAH STUFF.

"Save Me" (Queen tribute)

BK: ACOUSTIC SOLO THAT I'M PROUD OF, AND THE REST IS THANKS TO BRIAN!

KH: What was the easiest KISS album to record and the hardest?

BK: COS THE EASIEST. AND REVENGE THE HARDEST. THEY REALLY ARE ALL A LOT OF WORK.

KH: Can you give us any songtitles from your new band?

BK: TANGERINE. HEAVY D, OCTOBER MORNING WIND.

KH: What do you think is the purpose of a guitar solo within the context of a song?

BK: TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL.

KH: If you could pick any cover song to do, what would it be?

BK: ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER-HENDRIX.

KH: Thanks for your time Bruce-please leave a message for your fans.
