It's More Expensive In Europe!
By: Carol Hendrix

I want to give my opinion on KISS merchandise for European fans. I live in Europe and I love a lot of the merchandise that's put out by KISS. I know there a lot of silly things released (like candles, underwear, golfballs etc.) but also a lot of cool things like: action figures, masks, 24" dolls etc. I have bought some of this expensive merchandise, and expensive is the word I want to talk about.

For the European fans the merchandise is much more expensive than for the US fans. We pay a lot more for those items, sometimes 100% to 200% more! For example: When the first series of action-figures came out I bought a set. I had to pay $85 for it. For the third series you had to pay $100 for a set! Another BIG example is the 24" singing dolls. I love this set but for me it's too expensive. I know in the US you have to pay $600 for a set. I know that's a lot of money for you guys too. But if you want to buy it in Europe you have to pay almost $900 for the set!!

The last example I want to tell you is about the price of the teddy bears of Gene, Paul, Peter & Ace. They are listed here for $140 each, while the price in the US is only $50! At the last European KISS Expos they sold a lot of these items, but almost no one bought the dolls or teddy bears... I wonder why. If you buy a lot of KISS merchandise and you live in the USA, you can easily buy it in a shop or order it. In Europe you only can buy KISS merchandise at Expos or order it through fanclubs or order it in the US.

No matter what way you try to buy it, for the European fan it's always a lot more expensive!
