KISS Dynasty Issue #4
KA: Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you became a KISS fan.

Well let's see, I am 18 years old and an only child. I'm very into my computer and the internet, collecting KISS and rock memorabilia, I love animals and have a beagle a 25 year old turtle and 3 birds. I am also an avid penpal and of course a huge KISS fan. When I was about 12 years old i heard the song Rock and Roll All Night. Even though at the time the rest of my musical taste was very differentthan today, I bought the Smashes,Thrashes and Hits CD. Over time as I played more of the CD I just got hooked!

KA: Why and when did you start doing your fanzine?

I started doing my fanzine for several reasons. As a fan myself I know I can never hear enough about the band. It hasllowed me to get to know alot of other KISS fans, and there are so many different types. It surely wasn't for profit, I really don't have any! I just really enjoy it.

KA: Please give us a description of your fanzine and how KISS fans can subscribe.

KISS DYNASTY is an up and coming fanzine done for KISS fans by a KISS fan. We have a simple format. We have had Q&A's with Gene Simmons, Bruce Kulick, Union and others. We feature sobmissions from fans, stories, artwork, ect.. Collectors enjoy the info provided by Rick Reese in our Collectors Corner. I do all the printing of the fanzine and we go for as many color pages as we can. Subscribing is easy, just write to me at P.O. Box 270146 Hartford, Wisconsin 53027 or E-mail KISSDYNASTYfANZINE@YAHOO.COM

KA: What sets your fanzine apart from the others out there in KISS fandom?

We may be smaller but we try hard. By printing submissions from other fans the readers get a good cross section of opinions and info, even if it differs from the editors. It also allows anyone who would like to share thier opinions, artwork, stories, ect. a way to do so.

KA: What are some of the "headaches" and joys of running a fanzine?

Headaches, there are a few. But there is a great feeling when an issue is complete and heading to the post office. I enjoy the people I get to correspond with, both famous and not so famous. It's alot of work but it's also alot of fun!

KA: What was the best interview or feature you have done as a Fanzine Editor?

I was thrilled to receive Q&A's from Gene. But my phone interview and meeting Bruce was very special.

KA: Who would you like to interview (and why) but have never had the chance to?

I would love to interview Ace Frehley. I think he's a great personality. It would be FANtastic to hear his views. I'm sure he has some great stories to tell. Since he seems to do so few interviews I know it would be a great feature for my fanzine and a high point for me personally.

KA: Why did you decide to bring your fanzine online in the form of a webpage?

I love working on the computer and using the net. I know how much I have been able to find out about and enjoy on the web . So KISS ASYLUM allowing me space for a webpage gave me a great opportunity fopr exposure.

KA: How has the online world affected your fanzine?

Positively! I have new subscribers, contributors, and friends because of it.

KA: What were your thoughts when you heard about the Reunion tour?

I was ecstatic!! I would have the opportunity to see KISS in person. Nothing could be better and nothing was. I got my tickets 2 minutes after they went on sale in my area.

KA: What are your expectations for the upcoming Psycho Circus album and tour, as well as the future of KISS?

I see nothing but great music, great shows, great collectibles and hopefully, if there is another tour, the chance to attend another show and see more Kisstory in the making! As for the future of KISS, I see it as successful, positive, exhilirating and LONG!!

KA: This is your forum, say whatever's on your mind to all the fans online that are reading this Focus on KISS Dynasty.

Thanks to all who view my webpage, that subscribe and contribute thier works to the fanzine, and allof the others I've gottwn to know. My fanzine may not be the biggest, but it is done because I am a KISS FANatic and enjoy sharing with otherKISS fans and showing support for a great band. As Gene saya "you wanted the best, you got the best, the GREATEST band in the world KISS!!". Well 1998 so far has been a great year for KISS fans, and I personally can't wait to see what 1999 and the new millenium will bring us 1 Thanks Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss...KISS!!!!!!
