"A World Without Heroes" Novel & CD Reviews

From: Bill Jackson

Just finished reading "A World Without Heroes" today. Being a KISS fan since 1976, I knew basically what the story would encompass. I saw the TV movie, read the two Marvel comicbooks....knew about the SuperHeroes angle. I really enjoyed this book. I started reading it with the expectation that it would be a tale of super deeds, one group against the ultimate evil slash-and-burn kind of story. It's more about discovering what is inside each individual's own self. Learning to believe in yourself, no matter who you are, is the key to anything you do in life......because if you don't believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to? (Key the music to "I" here, if you will......)

Yes, there's an appreciable amount of action; just enough to make a good story even better. It didn't overbear the story, but supported it. I read quite a bit, and as far as I'm concerned, Dale's book is as good as the rest in my collection. Well-worded, yet not too verbiose. Some authors seem to think you need millions of words to convey one thought; Dale is not one of those. He gets his point across quickly, and yet provides the details necessary to put you "in the action". The continuity of the story was great.....no choppy "false starts" and "loose ends" to figure out.

It's a great book for KISS fans, but is not geared to KISS fans alone. It's worth a read by anyone.....I don't think they will be disappointed.
