"Carnival of Grunge" indeed!
I just got the tape yesterday and my impressions are mixed. I liked Hate and Rain. The rest was ok, but it just didn't get to me like the way a KISS album should. I did love the way G&P's vocals sounded, it was just the jaw dropping change in styleit sounded like the guy from Silverchair was playing on some of those tracks! I was warned by the other reviews that were on here, but to hear it for myself was not a treat. And i was one of the people who was always saying the new kiss was cool, and should be respected. But after hearing this i dont know, it's not B&E's fault, but i'm kind of glad they decided not to release it, this reminds me Motley Crue and Warrant changing their styles. To make an analogy, I saw something in Rip about the 94 Motley Crue fiasco=
"Once they were the kings of Glam, now they want to be Pearl Jam"
It's funny, and it's sad. I'm glad G&P didnt release this or they'd be ridiculed the same way. I think the best way for this to come out officially is on the box set. Overall I just didnt dig it. Hope this make sense!
