Kyle's review:
From: Kyle

Background: Longtime KISS fan. Bought Alive at age 13. Stuck with the band through the years, even when it wasn't "acceptable". Like something about all albums, all eras, and all lineups, but believe Gene and Paul are the heart and soul of what we know as KISS. Have the bootleg. Now have the CD for COS.

Songs rated 1(poor) to 10 (outstanding):

Hate (7) - heavy song, great leadoff hitter for the CD, not thrilled with anti-religion tone of the lyrics.

Rain (8) - stunning change of style for Paul on most of CD starting with this track...this one rocks.

Master and Slave (10) - a great song, strong in all areas, love the change in tempo and the chorus.

Childhood's End (9) - excellent effort by Gene, very catchy, a highlight.

I Will Be There (7) - can feel Paul's emotion in this one, good guitar work.

Jungle (8) - this one took a while to get used to, much better on the CD, great bass groove.

In My Head (8) - love the lyrics..."I'm obnoxious, and no one's home, in my head!"

It Never Goes Away (4) - too slow, too downcast, too dull.

Seduction of the Innocent (7) - some unique work, good singing by Gene.

I Confess (6) - maybe Gene's weakest effort, but still a keeper.

In the Mirror (7) - song is a little more "typical" Paul song.

I Walk Alone (7) - Bruce's voice is a little low, maybe he was tentative, but I like the song.
