"Psycho Circus" Album Reviews

From: C.Campbell

Let me just start off by saying if you don't like this record you have lost your mind. And anyway shouldn't you be supporting Kiss since this is only their most important record in their history. Now that i have gotten that off my chest here is my review.

Psycho Circus: This song is really cool and will be great in concert. It is very up tempo and has a lot of cool dynamics to it. Paul's singing is fantastic and the guitar riff is cool. I kinda wish Ace's solo was longer but that's about the only complaint i have it gets a 9 of 10.

Within: A vintage heavy song from Gene kinda like Almost Human era stuff. This song does not sound like COS as was reviewed earlier . Only the backward guitar part's are similar to someting from COS. Good song i will give it a 8 of 10.

I Pledge Alliegence: This song sung by Paul kicked my ass all over the place. A very catchy song very Flaming Youth kind of anthem it gets 10 of 10.

Into The Void: Ace has done good work here it's very Trouble Wailkin meets something from his Makeup solo album. The guitar is really great it will get 9 of 10.

You Wanted The Best: This is the only song i found a little strange. Its not a bad song but its not what i pictured it would sound like either. It will probably grow on me . I will give it a 7 of 10 for now.

I Finally Found my Way: This slow number by Peter is what you would expect it to sound like. Its Beth meets Easy Thing i will give it 8.5 of 10.

Dreamin: As you would expect all of Paul's song's kick ass. This song is very solo album sounding it's this album's Tonight you belong to me. I will give this song 9 of 10.

We Are One: A real modern sounding songfrom Gene here it's his best on the tape. It's Oasis meets See you tonight. I will give it 9.5 of 10

Journey of 1000 Years: Another slow one from gene but not a ballad not as good as We are one but good enough to be here though. Gene can sing " Who Knew" i will give it 8 of 10.

Raise Your Galsses: I went and saved the best for last here this is one catchy song people. It does have a Jovi feel to it but that's because Fairburn is a kick ass producer. And by the way i like Jovi it gets a 10 of 10. This is my favorite on the record so far but who knows that could change :)

If your one of those fans that is expecting to here a record that sounds like something recorded in 1974 your not gonna get it here. But did you really think that sound would go over now. By the way it is 1998 last time i checked. This album isn't quite Rock and Roll over but its better than Love Gun and much better that anything they've done recently it get's 9 of 10.
