As soon as I heard Bruce Fairbane was gonna produce the new Kiss album I cringed.I prepared myself for the worst.I'm sure he saw Kiss as another Aerosmith,another band to scrape off the pavement and make them a comercially succesfull money train for the record label.Thats his job.Thats what he does.But that is not what Kiss needs right now.Kiss needs to make a Kiss record for Kiss fans.The ones who made this happen.The ones who have been waiting for this.I don't think Fairbane understands Kiss and the magnatude of this project.I wonder how many times he said "I don't hear a hit here guys!"(did anyone see The Making of PUMP?) It's not his fault,he's just a puppet for the label.I just can't believe Kiss chose him for such a milestone album.Well here's my track by track review and it's only my opinion.

Psycho Circus:Love it!A huge sigh a relief!Really strong.Has a Destroyer vibe to it.Is Ezrin hiding behind this one?A blessing to hear in todays godawful music scene.

Within:Uh-oh.Whats this?A leftover from COS?Did'nt like that album,do'nt like this song.Gene's vocals to boring and repetitious and Ace is nowhere around.

I Pledge Allegiance:Is this Poison?This could be right off of Flesh and Blood.Fairbane at work here and it's not working for Kiss.

Into The Void:Not a bad tune.Ace rips himself off a lot.A Trouble Walkin' feel.I like it.

We Are One:What the hell is this?!This is the same guy I saw spit blood and fire?Hey,I know he loves the Beatles and so do I,but not on a Kiss record.

You Wanted The Best:Cool intro but a very contrived song.Could've been better.The chorus kills this song for me.And whats the shit at the end?

Raise Your Glasses:Fairbane all over this one.This really sucks!The chorus sounds like a t.v. add for beer or Coke or something.Not even the Ace can save this one.

I Finally Found My Way:Pure crap!Can't even review this.Will never listen to this one again!

Dreamin':Sounds like Alice Cooper's 18, but not bad.Paul great on this one.

Journey of 1000 Years:I don't know what to make of this one.Intro sounds like Ace's Rock Soidiers.Could have been on Destroyer.

Thats it.I did'nt want to describe the songs too much so it does'nt give too much away.I could even except the the songs I don't care for if the album was longer.I can't believe this is the best they could come up with.The song Psycho Circus ends with the line "Welcome to the show!" and then there is none.It's a let down from there.I am a die-hard Kiss fan for 20 years.This was hard to write and this album was hard to listen to.I hope this tape is a clever decoy and the real album comes out on the 22nd.but I don't think that will happen.The life sucking,greedy no nothings in the record industry have finally crippled another great band.
