"Psycho Circus" Album Reviews

From: WDossey912@aol.com

Been a Kiss fan since '75. Here's my thoughts:

Psycho Circus - great Paul song. Excellent opener, will be great live. Love the thickness of it. A+

Within - weak Gene, would have preferred another Ace song here. C

Pledge Allegiance... - again, apparently Paul is Kiss. Great rocker. B

Into the Void - welcome back Ace, I have worn this track out. Very un-formula, and great raw vocal. A+

We Are One - welcome changeup. Good production. B

You Wanted the Best... - kinda neat. While I don't believe they all held hands while they were singing their parts, still neato verses. Peter rocks. Chorus drags. B

Raise Your Glasses - don't like verse production. Chorus is huge. C

Finally Found my Way - I guess the temptation was too great, so they built Peter a ballad. But hey guys...his rocker vocals pack more punch than several of yours (Gene & Paul). I welcome any chance to hear Peter sing. Look around these days, he's an original. I know people are bashing this one...they'll come around. A

Dreamin - what a dog. Again, an Ace or Peter song would be better...anything. F

1000 Years - I like this from Gene. Sounds humbled...and current. A

Overall I dig the record. Would have loved to hear Peter kick into a "Nothin to Lose" style song, but oh well. I am sick of all of the rumors about who played what, and that Peter skipped the whole shebang. Listen harder and you'll hear that it is him, the one and only. I dig Paul's leads as much as Ace's...and they are easy to spot. Welcome it...accept it...look around, rock is dying these days. We need this record. Love it.
