"Psycho Circus" Album Reviews

From: Gwr911@aol.com

Well, I got the album and I've listened to it a few times. Here's my take on it.

1. Psycho Circus -- love the carnival intro, and then the song kicks in. I've got goosebumps. Great guitar solo by Ace and the drums are cool. One of the best on the album. Out of 10, i give it a 9/10.

2. Within -- the beginning is freaky. The backward guitar strikes again. But the song kicks major ass. Sounds like an unreleased "Carnival Of Souls" song. 10/10.

3. I Pledge Allegiance -- this song reminds me of "Shout It Out Loud". Very upbeat and catchy. Good solo. 8/10.

4. Into The Void -- oh baby! Ace is back in the groove. Killer song. Ace's singing is better than ever. A classic that could follow up "Shock Me" on tour. 9/10.

5. We Are One -- Even though it's better than I expected it to be, it's one of my least favorites on the album. Good harmonies in the chorus, though. 7/10.

6. You Wanted The Best -- ah, I've read so many bad reviews for this song. In my opinion, IT'S THE BEST SONG ON THIS ALBUM. Killer intro and the solo is amazing. Should definitely be part of the tour. 10/10.

7. Raise Your Glasses -- Nice drum intro and the choruses are good. The verses don't do much for me though. But it's Paul and PAUL IS GOD! 9/10.

8. I Finally Found My Way -- good song, but not great. Reminds me of a mixture between "Beth" and "Everytime I Look At You". 6/10.

9. Dreaming -- The best power ballad I've heard from KISS since "I Still Love You". Paul outdoes himself each and every time. 9/10.

10. Journey of 1,000 Years -- sounds like it was an "Elder" unreleased track. But I really dig the song. And the way they stick the solo from "PC" onto this track is cool. 9/10.

There you have it. Overall, a great album. I hope it's not the last one from them.
