"Psycho Circus" Album Reviews

From: Rgvkiss@aol.com

Being a Kiss fan for 15 years, and being this is 1998, I think this album is better than anything since the Destroyer era. Yeah, it's got it's flaws, and it took a couple of listens to get used to, but it kicks a.s. Well now, every song is awesome in one way or another. They all have a different vibe.To get the full affect of this, you must crank it up to see what I mean. Here is my opinion of the songs in my order of favorite and so on.

1. Into the Void: Ace sounds great, this song blew my mind. Most definently classic Kiss, hopefully the next single. 10-10

2. Psycho Circus: Some of Paul's best songwriting, awesome double lead solo, definently a classic song.10-10

3. Within: This song has single potential. It rocks, good chorous. Definently has a COS guitar sound, but whatever, it's on Psycho Circus, that's all that matters. 9-10

4. I Pledge Allegiance to the State of Rock and Roll: This song has an awesome chorous, definently can be a single. It's the Shout it out Loud of the album. 8-10

5. Dreamin': This song has attitude, awesome song that has a story behind it. 8-10

6. Journey of 1,000 Years: Gene's got some emotion in this one. Great ending song for the album. The Demon is a bit mellow though. 7-10

7. You Wanted The Best: An awesome groove, everybody sounds great, awesome solo. Definently a live one. 7-10

8. Raise Your Glasses: A bit pop-ish, awesome bridge to the chorous. Still rocks though. 7-10

9. We Are One: It's a good song. But I personally don't feel it should be on the album. Heard a rumor that it is the second single. Hope not, definently not the Demon we know. Still a good song. 7-10

10. I Finally Found My Way: Well, it's ok, but I think it could've been better. 7-10

Well that is my review. Overall, I give it 8 out of 10. Hopefully it will be their first number one album. See ya on tour.
