Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Marc Bergeron

Unfortunately we missed the opening act, Econoline Crash, but we were in time for Kiss. We had decided to take our 4 year old son with us. It was a wise decision. They opened with Psycho Circus. With a major bang. The set was the same as the Halloween show w/the exception that they played Makin' Love instead of SHE. The pyrotechnics were excellent. My son did not know where to look. The drum solo came at the end of God Of Thunder( Gene's bass solo came at the beginnining). During the drum solo, Peter's kit rises up off the stage and moves to the front of the stage. It was pretty cool. On the whole it was a great show. Needless to say, our 4 year old is a KISS fan for life. One interesting side note; during the show Paul was flirting/making out with this girl in cat makeup. She was probably in the second or third row on the floor. It started out w/Paul putting his guitar out in the audience and this girl was trying to tongue to the end of it. By the end of the show, he was KISSing her. He also gave her part of the guitar he broke. It was interesting to watch. Like a side show to the concert. She was one lucky girl. As for the 3-D effect, it was good in some parts and not so good in others. I think it will take a little time as it is new to the concert scene. I actually found it kinda distracting. It was a good idea, but I prefer watching the band. All in all it was AWESOME show. So all you KISS fans waiting, it's worth the wait and the money. My son gives it 2 thumbs up.
