Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Greg Rolewicz

Just got back from the Dec 29th show at the Rosemnont Horizon. Let me just say it was a great concert but not a good KISS concert. Here's why..

THE BAD- It seems as though they screwed up on almost every song. You could tell they were having an offnight. I know because I am a fan and know every song. Gene forgot half the lyrics to Within. Peter seemed to slow down during every song, even though it wasn't that noticeable. Gene didn't fly, I was pissed! They also didn't have the risers for Black Diamond. Paul used some excuse that the machines were stuck in some snow storm in Indiana. whatever. The 3d was cool, but nothing extravagent. Into the Void needs to be dropped. All I can say about it was that it was horrible. I love the song, but they really butchered it at the show.

THE GOOD- I was really impressed with the pyro. They used more flames this time then on the reunion tour. Lots of confetti during RARAN. Despite what people have been saying about the vocals on Within, they actually were really good, even though Gene forgot the lyrics. The song truely showed Gene's personality. Paul Stanely got off the stage and started to make out with some blonde in the front row. Man did her boyfriend look pissed! That was funny though. Right before Love Gun, Paul metioned that his flying machine was stuck in a snowstorm, so they had to build him a new one in less than a day. The band started the song and goofed it up. Paul stopped them and told the audience that they were nervous for him. He was like "Guys, it's ok, I'll be fine". Everyone got a good laugh. Most bands would pretend the goof up never happened, but Paul was quick witted and made the best of a bad situation.

All in all, I had a good time, but I dont think I got my $60 worth.
