Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Olaf Gruneke

Not one review posted yet ?? Show was much too good not to write something. So here it goes: I have no idea why people hate Buck Cherry so much........have a burger, buy some shirts and enter the the venue 5 minutes to 9 p.m.; you can't say a bad thing about "what was their name again" cause you won't have to take any notice of ' em.... So we were at 5 minutes to 9 p.m. Last fitting call for the glasses, last bathroom call until Peter's drum solo and here we go : Allright, Cologne.....YOU WANTED THE BEST !! YOU GOT THE BEST !! THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD:::: KISS !!!

PC really is a great beginner. Very good sound. Paul's voice fine as well. Shout it out Loud...Pyros ( although only half as high as in the US shows, a great 20 minutes for starters. Compared to the Reunion Tour a much better overall rating. The guys seemed much more into it this time ( except the Fred Astair dancing on Gene ). But who cares, if for every hipswing another 1000 $ come into his purse, who can blame that guy for being happy......

The usual setlist unfortunately without Makin Love ( could anyone explain the absence of the songs compared to the US Leg ??? ) but played flawless and very entertaining. I can't say anything about Peter's drum solo because I wasn't there to see it ( for earlier disclosed reasons ) but somehow regret that 'cause I heard so many good things about it. Well, next time....

The regular set ended with RARAN and I loved both the fact that they close the regular set that way and that the confetti exceeded all my expectations. Same encores and Black Diamond at the end.

2 hours and 5 minutes of pure fun, actually 4 hours and 10 minutes if I also count the guy at the beerparlor who slipped on his own beer ( hilarious situation......) and the other 2 hours and 9 minutes it took to leave the parking garage........

Anyways, it was worth the trip and I look forward to seeing the show in Kiel on March 28th although I have the feeling that there might be some more pyrotroubles ahead due to the size of the venue...well let's see..
