Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Dave

I went to the Dodger Stadium show expecting nothing but magic. Was I disappointed, how can KISS ever disappoint? Did the audience suck? You betcha!! It was obvious that many had come out just to do the "hollywood chic thing" (funny that after all of these years KISS is "chic") The energy level was patheticly low. And how embarassing for KISS when Paul cajols the audience into singing the intro to Black Diamond they don't, and he has to admonish them, jeessh.

I have to admit, that I thought Psycho circus would be a great opening song, and perhaps it will become that, but it wasn't on this night, the band seemed jittery and sloppy on it.

And having said that I just want to add that I didn't care for the song order of the show, although I'm sure that was to appease FOX.

That said the show was still great. Although, note to KISS. Guys don't do "Detroit" as the set closer, go back to "Black Diamond" and save "Detroit" as an encore and drop "within" and please put Peter's drum solo back into "God of Thunder" as they say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

The fireworks were amazing at the end.

And in closing, this is to demonstrate how jaded we KISS fans are, I went with 5 other friends who had never seen KISS, I expected them to say the show was ok. Instead they thought it was the most amazing concert that they had ever attended, and all felt they got more than their money's worth.

Oh by the way, the Circus sideshow and 3-D stuff was definitely cool.
