Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

KISS AT DODGER STADIUM

I was fortunate enough to travel from New Jersey to see the Dodger Stadium Show. This was the 22nd time I've seen KISS in concert.

Overall, I felt the show was incredible. The massive stage setup was impressive, with the huge KISS ARMY banners hanging on both sides. For anyone who didn't have the opportunity to see KISS on the 70's, this show was just like old times. Raw power

My only dissapontmentwas was in the opening number (Psycho Circus). On record is one of their best songs they've ever done, but I wasn't impressed with the way it sounded live. The guitars and solo wasn't as sharp as I would have thought, and Stanley had a bit of trouble on the higher notes. By the time I see them at the Garden (Nov 23rd), I know it will be alot better (from playing it a few more times)

As for the rest of the concert, I thought it was great. On the classic KISS songs: Black Diamond, Detroit Rock City, Rock and Roll All Nite etc...they were on; Stanleys voice was sharp as was Ace's guitar work. Gene's singing is better than it's ever been, the new song "Within" is destined to become a classic mainstay for years to come.

The pyro and fireworks display was excellent, just what you'd expect from KISS.

Out of all the shows I've ever attended, I'd have to say the best ones by far are the Madison Square Garden Shows. With the fact that KISS are originally from NY, they seem to really turn it up a notch. The crowd at a NY KISS show is out of control. If anyone ever has a chance to make it to the Garden, don't miss the opportunity.

PS If anyone attended the Dodger Stadium Show and was able to get some pictures from inside, I am very interested in purchasing a set (for memories). Please E-Mail or call 201-384-6050 me with a price.
