Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Lori Georgevich

Before I start the review I want to say that I flew into LA from NJ to see this show. I am a huge Kiss fan (Paul fan) and I will always be a diehard Kiss fan. By this time you already know that there were some problems with the show: audio, drums, Ace's guitar, Gene's spotlight, etc. I have to admit that the only person's review I can agree with is Badseeder. This is why.

It started the second we got out of our car. At 6:40 P.M., in the parking lot, the ringmaster was heard announcing "Call 1-900-CALL KISS. Can you say M-O-N-E-Y-? Well, I'm not going to give a song by song review, but this is how the show really went. I was just a little disappointed. First, if the stage was any higher, they could have told us the weather for Sunday!!!!!!! Although I had 2nd row center seats, I felt as if I was 30 feet way because of the height of the stage. The psycho circus songs were weak. They looked un-rehearsed , with the exception of Into The Void. That was the only song that they seemed to play well.

Second, there was absolutely no communication with the audience at all and Paul seemed to be the only one that moved around the stage, and even that didn't seem to be as much as usual. The whole band seemed like they had stagefright. I know that might sound harsh, and I can't believe I'm saying it, but it is how I feel. Maybe it was because of the live taping, the broadcast over the internet. their first show of a tour, I don't know. The older stuff was performed well musically, but there wasn't much interaction with us. There was no usual intro stories that all of us love.

I have no complaints about the set list. I do have to say that the roses Paul was holding, were mine! :)

I know that these are "problems" that could be ironed out by the next show. I hope they are. I want my old Kiss back. I want to hear those familiar intro stories, watching Paul gyrate around the stage, and most of all, watch the guys enjoy themselves!!

For what it's worth, I will be at all of NY and NJ shows. I would never miss a show!!!!!!!!
