Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Chris

The show started off with a bang as the band preformed "Psycho Circus" as it has done with most every show on the tour thus far. The crowd went nuts when the curtain dropped and the masked men hit the stage. From that they proceeded to do "Shout it out loud" and "Deuce". It was amazing how many more people had their faces painted(myself and my wife included) than the show two years before, but the crowd was there to see one thing only KISS!! and they did. The 3-D effects came into play when the band played "Do you love me" and they were awesome. The way the band came right out of the screen into your lap was something out of this world. Perhaps the best parts of the show are when Ace did his solo at the end of "Into the void" in which he proceeded to set his guitar on fire and shoot it down with a rocket from another guitar. Another moment to remember is of course "God of thunder". Gene pulled his best performance out of the 70's and brought it back to the 90's. The stage went balck and then all you see is a red light and smoke fill the stage. Then gene projects blood all over the place, vintage demon action at it's best. Paul's flying act during "Love gun" was pretty awesome as well. Overall the band seemed in peak condidtion for guys that can't stop rockin, espically Peter and Ace. This made my fourth trip to see the band and l must say that this showed tied alot of "Alive l and ll" into a big circle of fun. I encourage anybody who has doubts about seeing this tour to get off your butts and go the circus.
