Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

Pretty (NO) Fly For a White (FACE PAINTED) Guy(S)

After driving close to 3 hours, Madison was a welcome sight. It was cold again, probably about 10 degrees so we sat in my car until the doors to the Dane County Coliseum opened. Basically the same merchandise was on sale as the Milwaukee show last week, except I didn't see any "KISS Destroys Madison" shirts. Caroline's Spine opened the show at exactly 8:00pm. The singer sounds alot like Eddie Vedder to me, but they were a million times better than Econoline Crush. They played for 25 minutes. KISS took the stage at exactly 9:00pm and the place went totally nuts. I think the crowd was much smaller than Milwaukee, but they were louder and more excited than Milwaukee was. I know I was, I had seats on the FLOOR!! "Psycho Circus" turned into "Shout it out Loud" and so on, a stellar show to say the least. Then the big let down!!!! NO TRICKS, NO FLYING!!!! Like Milwaukee, Gene DID NOT fly. Unlike Milwaukee, Paul DID NOT fly and Peter's drum kit DID NOT come out over the crowd, it just raised up a few feet. I don't know, maybe they don't like us in the CheeseHead state or something, but I feel just a little bit SHAFTED! I hope they didn't drop this stuff from the show, these are the HIGH LIGHTS for Christ's sake!! The set list was the same as the Milwaukee show, nothing to complain about there I guess. The show ended at 11:00pm and the I drove home in a Rock N Roll Coma. Seeing KISS twice in a week is something I will never forget, I just hope I get to see them again soon.
