Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Rolando Zenteno

After two years of a long wait, they finally came back, as Paul had promised. The place was packed, I don't know the exact number of people, around 40,000 to 50,000, and only few seats, way in the back were empty. I must say Rammstein was incredible, they sure know how to give a good show, they made all type of stunts, it was very entertaining, but I'm sure the audience didn't have a clue of what they were singing. Anyway, my review of Kiss: Psycho Circus sounded great, better than I expected, throughout the whole show they sounded great. In my personal opinion I think Within, sounds great live, besides its good to hear others besides the classic songs. The songs that received excellent answer from the crowd were Psycho Circus, Do You Love Me, God of Thunder, Love Gun, I Was Made, Rock & Roll All Nite, and Beth. The 3-D was excellent but we were in the 8th row so we couldn't see well because of Peters' drums. Black Diamond was also great, Paul came out alone, at first, he started singing "guantanamera" and "La Bamba" suddenly the whole crowd started singing, way higher than him, and he says "Can you please shut the fuck up, I'm trying to sing a song, this is my spotlight," everyone started laughing, it was so cool. He also said "Peter wants to tell you someting," I think Peter didn't had a clue of what to say and simply says "I love you," again Paul says the same, and Peter laughing, just says, "I love everybody!" I think Peter wasn't into the show so much, however he played excellent, his solo was good, in the newspapers, it said that Peter was very antipathic, towards the press and the fans that were waiting in the airport, Gene just covered his face, and Paul was the most accesible, Ace didn't came with them. About Ace, also wasn't very opened towards the crowd, and many times he went to the sides of the stage, and came late to the center during many songs. But what can we say about him, he played excellent, so no coplains here. As for Mr. Simmons, he was excellent, however never talked to the crowd directly, like Paul My only complain was the official tour t-shirts didn't even had Mexico in there, they were from part of the U.S. leg tour, and they must had brought no more thant 200 tour books, because few people had them and they ran out of them very quickly.
