Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: BCMar74@aol.com

ALL RIGHT MILWAUKEE!!!! What a great sound that was to me. After travelling 3 hours, from Green Bay to Milwaukee, in a snowstorm, just getting to the Bradley center in Milwaukee was a chore, but of course, well worth it. My seats, for the most part, were not worth the $35 I paid for them. It just shows that calling on the first sale date does not mean you will get great seats.

Econoline Crush began playing and annoying the crowd at 7:30. They sucked and no one was around to see them. They announced that this is their last date with KISS, best part of their show. I hope Caroline Spine is better, I am going to the Madison show next Sunday too.

At about 8:30, KISS began the show. I swear these guys are getting younger!!! The band is much more ON this tour than the reunion shows in my opinion. Psycho Circus kicked ass!!! All songs were great, the 3-D effects were really cool. Much better than I thought they would be. Gene DID NOT do the flying trick in God Of Thunder, which was a real bummer for me. I saw the little stage he stands on above the stage, but it wasn't used. Paul's trick in Love Gun was cool, people really liked it. Ace had problems getting the Les Paul on the hook so it could fly, but his solo was GREAT. It was Peter's birthday, so we all sang Happy Birthday after Beth, it was pretty cool.

KISS did not play I Was Made For Loving You or any other "special" songs, they played all of the "Must Plays" though. "Within" sounded pretty cool, except they can't seem to recreate the feel of the studio on the chorus. The band seemed a little disappointed in the crowd, a really down crowd to say the least. The people that were "INTO IT" were just CRAZY, everyone else was just standing there.

The show ended with Black Diamond, which sounded great (eventhough Ace really messed up the 2nd solo, BAD). I do wish they would end the show with Rock N Roll All Night, it is just a better closer and I think the "General Population" expects it.

I hope you enjoyed this review and I will post one for the Madison Show on 12/27, comparing the two. ROCK ON!!
