Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Rollndude@aol.com

Last night rocked at the Target Center in Minneapolis. KISS gave the audience major sensory overload. One could feel the vibrations from the speakers and the heat from the flames. One could see tremendous amounts of fireworks, explosions and antics by KISS. One could hear (my ears are still ringing this AM) the sounds of KISS songs blasting through Target Center and the sounds of the audience singing along. One could smell the scent of marijuana from the man in front of us. And finally the audience tasted that great feeling after seeing the greatest rock and roll band perform an awesome concert.

The Highlights:

- Paul as a showman (He takes control of the audience like no one else can).
- Ace's guitar swirling fireworks at the end of RARAN.
- The tightness of the songs (With the exception of Beth, Within, and Psycho Circus).
- Ace in charge of his solos. Ace is just incredible on his solo stuff.
- The rising drum set. Peter's drum comes out over the audience during his solo. (Although I thought it was odd to place the solo inside Within).
- The quality of songs like "Deuce", "Shout It Out Loud", and "Black Diamond"

The Lowlights:

-This was my 5th reunion concert. I want some new songs performed: "Rocket Ride", "All American Man", "Raise Your Glasses", "Christine 16", "Nothin' to Lose", "C'mon and Love me".
-"Beth"-the backround music was way too loud
-The prescence of Psycho Circus--these songs did not really stand out as future classics. I didn't think much of these songs as they were just filler songs at the concert.
-KISS merchandising - the prices on their stuff is way too high!!

Overall though, I loved the concert, I might just go see them Saturday in Iowa...
