Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Kevin Chorzelewski

Just came back from the First Union Center in Philadelphia, Pa. and was extremely impressed! I have always wanted to see Kiss in concert since 1975 and have finally fulfilled that dream! Although the opening act, "Econoline Crush" wasn't much to write about but who knows, maybe they'll be something one day.

The show opened up with Psycho Circus with plenty of Pyro-technics and put everyone in the right frame of mind. I haven't been to a show where almost everyone stood up during the entire show, even through Beth! Normally when the tempo slows down, people take to their seats. The 3D was impressive, the glasses weren't blue and red, you were notified when to put them on (and take them off) and the only item that was getting "old" was how many times the guitar was poked through the screen but it was still a great effect.

When God of Thunder was played and Gene was up in the rafters, spitting blood, it had to be one of the most memorable highlights of the show, also Paul Stanley used his 'contraption' to fly to the middle of the audience, giving just about everyone a great view! Ace Frehley's missiles and Peter Criss' hovering drum stage have made the audience go wild as well.

Rock n Roll All Night was the last song "before" the encore. We had "Grease On Ice" in the building across the street, I'm sure we rocked the walls over there as well. Detroit Rock City was another great song and as I'm typing this, I'm reminded of the Destroyer album and how I used to always play it, wishing to see KISS in concert. The wish finally came true!

If you're considering buying tickets or have bought them and waiting for the show, you will NOT be disappointed and will be very convinced that it was worth every penny! If you like the KISS ALIVE album, then do yourself a favor and GO!!!
