Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

Whew! Just got back from the 3 1/2 hour drive back from the Philadelphia show at the First Union Center. Me and my buddy had 4th row seats for this one, right in front of Ace! I have to say, this is the best I've ever seen the band. This was the best, most energetic FUN show I've ever been to in my life. The guys are having so much fun, I'm telling you, half the fun of the show for the long time die-hard fans is watching the guys interact with each other. This show was very, very loud and the bass drum felt like someone was punching me in my chest in a dark alley. Peter is definitely hitting the drums harder these days. You know how on the reunion tour he would mostly use from his elbows and wrists to hit the drums? Not anymore; he's really putting his arms into it, really hitting the drums hard. Let's see, same set list, same routines, a couple little mishaps but nothing to warrant a negative response from the fans. Right before Ace's solo in Rock and Roll all Nite, he tried to light his sparkler on the end of his guitar but couldn't get it going for a few seconds. Paul stared at him and filled in the solo portion with some chugging rythme until Ace got it lit, then when it started spinning around, everyone loved it! This Philadelphia crowd was really worked up and the band fed off it clearly, smiling at everyone, at one point Paul put a guitar pick in his mouth, leaned out over the edge of the stage and a girl leaned up and took it directly from his mouth. Man what a show. Get ready NYC, cuz you guys are in for a treat!
