Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: BSSlegel@aol.com

I just got back from the Philadelphia show, so the first thing I did after I got in the door was to e-mail Kiss Asylum and tell them what I thought of the show. Naturally, it was great. It pretty much followed what they did on the Reunion Tour (special effect s wise) with the exception of Peter's drum kit flying above the stage, Paul flying to a mini stage in front of the soundboard, and some spinning fireworks on the tip of Ace's guitar.

Musically, they were alot tighter than the previous tour and they sounded ALOT better than the Halloween show on FOX. I was lucky enough to hear the entire show broadcast on the radio to hear what I was in store for tonight (Nov. 21). They sounded like crap that night! Gene butchered a few songs (mainly "Within"), but tonight they were all smokin'! Ace wailed on the guitar and Peter shocked the pee out of me with his solo! The set list was also changed a little from the Halloween show.

I heard in some other people's reviews that they thought the 3D aspect of the show was pretty "lame", but I must say that the effects were awesome. They used some scenes from the Psycho Circus video throughout the concert. They're even kind enough to tell you when to put your 3D glasses on and when to take them off, since the entire show isn't in 3D. Sometimes their guitars look like they're gonna poke your eyes out.

I think Kiss should have added a few more Psycho Circus tunes into the set list. Afterall that is the name of the tour. "You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best" would've been nice to hear live, as well as "Raise Your Glasses". I was also sad to hear that the Circus show before the concert was canceled for the indoor shows! That would've been neat to see, too.

My only other complaint is the price of the T-shirts and programs. They were $30 and $20 respectively. What fool would be dumb enough to purchase it! Well I should get going now, anyway, I'm gonna go wash my new Kiss shirt and then read the program I purchased.

In closing...this was the best concert I ever went to and I strongly suggest that those who haven't seen it yet should definitely go!!
