Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: B.A Billy

For a month all I could think about was the KISS show at Skydome, I'd look at my ticket at least once a day, show my friends, it was everything on my mind, so needless to say when I showed up at Skydome in my Peter Criss mask (dressed as the cat in the hat) I couldn't sit still, I had great seats in the 100 level, perfect eye level to the stage and just waited for the "carnival" to begin. Econoline Crush opened and it was great to see they got a decent response, I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to open for the gods of rock, but they really held their own. Between sets, I walked around, everyone seemed to like my costume, the people at Skydome were all cool as only KISS fans are, then finally......"You wanted the best, you got the best" & KISS came on stage right into "Psycho Circus" it sounded awesome, I was going crazy. I'm 20 and having been a fan for 14 years, the greatest thrill in my life is to see these guys live. They went right into "Shout it out loud", and the show had just begun. Paul did his hello's and said they were in Montreal the night before, we booed, Paul said they said the same about us then went into "Deuce". The set was tight, Gene kind of got lost at the begining of God of Thunder, he sang the bridge for the first verse, no real mistakes were made, Peter's drum solo was much better then the one on the reunion tour, I couldn't believe it when his drum set flew!!!! My jaw dropped, I didn't expect that one. His solo was done during "Within". "Into the Void" sounded great, Ace did his solo, and of course, what would be a complete concert without Gene licking Ace!!! He flirted with the Idea during Cold Gin, then did it during 100,000 Years. The set list was awesome, I was kind of hoping to hear some other songs never played before like "Take Me", or "Love Her All I can", but I loved the show, They didn't fly at the end of their show though which surprised me, the 3-D was awesome alot of stuff from the Psycho Circus video was used. KISS blew Skydome apart on Wednesday night finishing with Black Diamond and shooting off more fireworks than the 4th of July, Ace had a cool swirl sparkler on the end of his NEW lighted guitar which he played during R'N'R All night, Overall the show was the best KISS tour yet, KISS still has it and always will, KISS & KISS ARMY FOREVER, to all the KISS fans, enjoy the show!!!!!!!
