Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Andy

Kiss played a virtually flawless show in Toronto at a sold out Skydome.Everyone seemed to have Kiss fever! Applauding wildly at the end of each song. The set was the same as previous shows[still no 'You wanted the best'],highlights included ,Deuce,Calling Dr.Love,Into the void,Let me go rocknroll. It was all great really, Gene messed up God of thunder but the boys backed him up,it was a quick recovery, and is'nt that what a good band does? I did'nt care they put on an incredible show, and proved their age was not an issue,They seemed to be enjoying themselves back in their element. To be quite honest, some of the show is still a blur ,I was in Kiss heaven, they blew me away!!.....Well the next day was a real treat .We headed to Hamilton to be part of the filming of 'Detroit Rock City' at a place called Copps Collusium ,its a mid size hockey arena. You had to call and reserve a spot to gain access.Well after signing release forms[Thats Hollywood eh],we entered .To our amazement there they were Kiss in full Love gun era costume. The movie is supposed to take place in Detroit 1978.We were sitting ,no shit, forty feet from the stage ,also set up Love gun style. So here we are watching Kiss for the next seven hours while they ran through various crowd and concert scenes.I still cant beleive it.Any Kiss fan would have just loved this opportunity. Imagine if you can watching them not only perform, actually they mimed Detroit rock city over and over cranked really loud! but also just watch them hang out on stage in between takes ,joking around, flicking hundreds of picks into the crowd,Pauls a good shot , I got one!! They were really cool with the fans too, talking and signing autographs tirelessly for hours.I brought some binoculers, not that I really needed them, but I could check them out super-up-close,eating sandwiches ,talking to each other, note:Gene enjoys diet Sprite with a straw. It was pretty funny. When filming began though, they were very professional in getting the right shots,it should be quite good when its edited together.Hey and this day was free! Its something I'm sure I won't forget, being in a Hollywood movie and seeing Kiss!!...............too much!!
