Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Bernhard Pfleger

First of all: Buck Cherry wasn't that bad. They had some quite good stuff, if you could hear something (the sound was awful!) I think, a few people liked them and they had some hands in the air and applause after the last song. KISS started at 20.35 and WHAT a start: Psycho Circus is a really good openener, although you couldn't hear most of the vocals. Paul was jumpin' around and Gene did some new moves (once he REALLY danced) Ace looked a bit over the top, but he was smilin' most of the time and so he was alright.

Peter was in great shape, even the solo was o.k. (the flyin' drum kit was great) Oh yes, Solos: PLEASE, Ace, take some time and think about some new stuff. The special effects are good, but the soloing in between!?!?!

These were the songs, vienna liked best:
Shout it out loud - a very loud crowd!
I was made for lovin you - even louder (and I don't know why????)
Love gun - especially because of Paul
Rock and Roll all nite - of course

These song didn't quite make it:
Within - I don't know why, it's (in my opinion) a great song on the record, but live - the chorus just didn't have that special groove)
The other songs were all great, like always. The show was a little less than two hours, so they could have played some other songs, like N.Y.Groove or Got to choose.

Lightshow and Pyros were fantastic, even the 3D was okay (espesially the flyin' space guitar), although I had to lend some glasses (I came in through the backstage aera and didn't get glasses) All in all it was a good show - not the best Kiss-Show I ever saw - but alright. Kiss just can't play a bad show! Come back soon!
