KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Vlad
Well i just witnessed my second KISS concert and it was totally excellent. I saw them first in 1997 on their reunion tour at Memorial Drive, which was the first concert i had ever been to and what a great start that was. This show was so much better, as i was front row and that it was going to be their last in Adelaide.

The begining was awsome, as the curtain fell they drifted down with eric behind them to the sounds of detroit rock city, which got the crowd pumped for a great show for the rest of the night. Highlights of the show were hearing all the classics like "Shout it out loud", "Talk to Me", "Deuce", "RARAN", and many more. The firworks were umbelievable as always and really got the crowd fired up all night.

I was also lucky enough to catch 2 giutar pics one from Gene and the other from Ace which i was so lovin it, as they were no more than 3 ft away from me. They were all good on the night eric was great on the drums and also blew the crowd away with his drum solo that he did, especially with his sticks being on fire!, Ace's solo was fukin excellent that guy really ripped it this tour around and proved he's still awsome.

Paul was the true frontman by jumping around and entertaining the crowd all night and showing he still has a tremendous singing ability or even better i rekon. Gene was great throughout the show he was the one that was around my area the most sticking his tongue out as always and always trying to get the females to show him their tits, which some throughout the concert did.

The concert went for 2 hours and 15 mins and it was well worth the $175 dollars that i had paid and i would pay it again any day, i also got a t-shirt which cost me $45 dollars which was also worth it, as the next day came i went to the hilton to see if they were still their and that they hadn't left for melbourne yet, which i found out they didn't, so i stuck around and finally after 1 & 1/2 hours Ace came walking through the lobby as he was leaving for the airport, his roadie or manager said to everyone waiting that he would only sign 1 item each and that we could'nt jump at him as he came out of the elivator.

He signed my t-shirt which i will never wear again and he said a few words to me aswell. I wished him all the best for the rest of the tour in Australia and thanked him for the show last night that he did, he then replied to me "Did you like the show" i said yeah i caught one of your guitar pics he then said "Cool". Thats it at least i have that great memory with me for the rest of my days and i can always say that Ace spoke to me.

My last statement will be that KISS are truly rock legends that will never be forgotten by their fans and by the rest of the world. Their music and concerts are truly inspirational to any band or musician out their playing and i would like to thank them for getting me to open my eyes to the world of music and getting me into music up and til this day. Thankyou very much for all the memories you gave me and i will never forgot the KISS experience that i have witnessed twice in my life. I wish you all the best in what ever you guys decide to do after you finish rocking the world over.
