KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Lui
This was truly the most spectacular show I've ever seen. Although I wonder whether Kiss would ever have made it in the begining if they had to rely on their music only, without the help of their stage show. I think you would have to be a die hard Kiss Fan to think Ace's Guitar work was anything special. Take away all the makeup, the fireworks, the costumes and all of the stage effects, and They wouldn't be any better than the local pub band. The thing that drew attention to the band starting from the early years was because nobody had ever put on a stage show that was both contraversial and had all the makings of a circus spectacular.

Good luck to the boys, they knew exactly where they were going when they started Kiss. I was about 5 rows from the front, and I don't know whether it was because it was so loud, but sometimes I found it hard to even distinguish the melody lines of the songs. some songs (can't remember which) but The band didn't even seem like they were in sync. It was a little sloppy.

The blood spitting, the fire breathing, the flying, and the stage effects, were sensational. It's going to be very hard for any other band to be able to produce a stage show of this magnitude.
