KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Rich
This is the 23rd time I've seen KISS in concert and let me say I still want more!!!

First off let me say that the crowd was on their feet from Skid Row all the way thru Ted Nugent, & KISS the fans came to rock and got what they came for. Skid Row played 30 minutes and we as good as I've heard them on this tour and this is my third show. Then came Uncle Ted and everytime I see him I like him more and more...many critics bash his right wing political statements but he's right about what he says...and if anyone doesn't like....KISS MY ASS.

ONTO THE SHOW...Well the setlist has remained the same so I won't go into too much detail about that but I'd like to see them doing some other tunes like New York Groove, I Want You, Hotter than Hell, Makin Love, King of the Nighttime World, Flaming Youth, I Stole Your Love, Strutter or even Forever or Crazy Nights...but the new stuff like I Love it Loud, Heavan's on Fire & Lick it Up are refreshing with Peter and Ace. Last nite Ace seemed a bit off and wasn't his usual self...he made several mistakes in his solo, but for the rest of the nite he was rock steady. The band's performance was solid but they had to lower the platform that Gene rises too during God of Thunder because the amphitheatre was small. Paul flew out to the crowd during Love Gun but returned during that song...in other shows I've seen him stay out there to do I Still Love You. Peter did the best version of Beth I have seen him do since rejoining the band in 1996 it was perfect and he even joked with the audience a bit more than usual his voice was excellent...he seems like he is thouroughly enjoying this Farewell Tour. From beginning to end it's a show not to be missed by anyone...you'll be sorry if you don't see the show after all it is the greatest show on earth and don't let anyone tell ya differently. KISS played for 2 hours and 23minutes too more than any other bands I've seen. That includes VanHalen in October 1991 when they screwed fans at an Albany, New York concert when they played for 71 minutes...and I paid $60 bucks for those tickets...jeez I guess Eddie shoulda did a few more lines before the show....THEY SUCKED if anyone remembers!!!

For all you yun-un's out there reading this...if you haven't been to a Rock n Roll Show and I'm not talking about bands like Dave Matthews, Pearl Scam, or the Smashing Chumpkins....all the crappy shit bands that have emerged over the last ten years take the time to see a real Rock n Roll show and go see this one...you won't regret it. Anyway this is the last time boyz n girlz to see the true legends of Rock N Roll besides in 10 years the shit bands you listen to now will still be playing your local fairs and community centers....ROFLMAO!!! Most bands today were influeneced by KISS and they set a standard with their live shows that I've never seen any band come close to. It's sad to see kids today think their music is good stuff....it's nothing but a bunch of political anti-this, anti-that crap that they think has substance...oooh goody. Most of the bands today look like your next door neighbor in flannel clothes looking down playing their instuments...give me a break a concert is not just for your ears people...it's for your ears and eyes and you get the total package when you see KISS in concert...and come to think of it Uncle Ted and Skid Row rock the house too...

IF YOU WANT THE BEST YOU'LL GET THE BEST....THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD KISS!!!!!!
