KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ruth
I was more than happy to wait in line for 2 hours in 97 degree weather to see Kiss in their farewell concert. I almost thought they weren't going to be coming to Albuquerque. But once tickets went on sell, I was in first in line to get my ticket. The concert was flawless from the time the curtain came down to the last of the confetti coming down from the ceiling. They all looked like they were in good physical condition and played their hearts out like it was the first concert of the tour. The scenes on the screen of certain songs such as 2000 Man and Ace's solo were were incredible and I actually was very emotional during the different scenes they showed through out kisstory during Do You Love Me. Just thinking of how long they have been together giving us rock and roll music. But during this concert I had noticed a woman below me with a body guard next to her. I was later told that she was Ace Frehley's girlfriend, but I don't recall ever hearing about ! Ace getting divorced. Later, through the concert I remember a picture I saw of Paul Stanley and his wife. I think it was Paul's wife and not a girlfried of Ace. It would sure help if anyone knows about Ace and whether he is still married or divorced. Anyway, it was very hard to not shed tears as I saw them bow and say goodnight for one last time. I'm glad to have been a part of the tour.

The opening act Skid Row was not like I thought it would be. I didn't know that Bach would not be there, and was disappointed with the lead singer. He tried to sing like Bach but crackled at some points of the songs. I though he sounded like another David Lee Roth.

As for Mr. Nugent, he knows how to get people on the rowdy side. He is still a great musician but I felt he needed to take his political hatred of the stage and just play the music
