KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Iceman
In reading all the current reviews I'm very surprised at what people are saying. I love Kiss and have been a fan since I was 13 yrs old. I was disappointed in the show on Sat. and it had nothing to do with the technical troubles. There is no way that this show came close to matching the Forum 96 shows. Kiss sounded tired. The song tempos keep getting slower and slower. Peter looked as if he could bearly raise his sticks above his shoulders. Ace had the energy of a snail, played slopply, sounded drunk when speaking, and in general looked like he did'nt want to be there.

Paul was as usually Mr.Consistent. He has more fun on stage than anyone. Gene is moving around less and less. Both Gene and Paul sang and played well. Peter was the real problem by being to weak on the drums. Let me also add that the sound at the Pond sucks. I was in Sec 209 and could hardly hear Ace's solos. Maybe if the sound was better my review would be more positive.

The technical problems were very entertaining. Nobody will ever see Paul sing the last verse of GOT or Gene try to sing LG. How did they sound? Weird! At least Paul knew the words. I did enjoy LMGRNR and DR love the best. The should drop Psycho Circus. I will never be considered a classic.

Kiss's biggest problem with their live show is to match or improve upon what they did on Alive 1 & 2. They did neither this time. My tickets cost big $$ but I might have to see the Blockbuster show so as to have a better memory of my favorite band
