KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Doug Goodwin
Wow - my first Kiss show was unbelievable. From the curtain drop at the first notes of "Detroit Rock City," I was blown away. The songs were tight, the theatrics were all in place and fans get a real sense of gratitude and nostalgia from the band. The band played an excellent set, even though "Strutter" was sadly left out. My fav songs of the night were "Love Gun," "Lick It Up," "Cold Gin" and "God of Thunder." One funny moment happened when Ace couldn't remember the words of the first verse of "Shock Me" - Paul happily obliged and let Ace come back in on the chorus. Early on, a female fan removed her bra and tossed it to Paul, who toyed with it, then hung it around the headstock of his Washburn guitar and played the next song with it there. Good to know the 'Best' screw up sometimes! "Rock and Roll All Night" capped off an incredible finale in Atlanta.
