KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ricky Trest
Another Kick Ass Show by a band that gets better with age like fine wine. This was my second farewell show. I drove up to Austin from San Antonio in the Texas heat

Skid Row was better than they had played in San Antonio back in March. The guitarist didn't have a cast on so Sabo did some running around this time. Overall they did okay even though there was hardly anyone there to hear them besides us diehards who showed up early.

Ted Nugent kicked ass as usual and overall didn't upset the local Hispanic community. Kiss my ass dedicated to Janet Reno went over well as it did in San Antonio. The video to the song Bear was new from the last time I saw Nugent. The Austin Crowd and I enjoyed Nugent and he played almost to 9pm. The Frank Erwin Center was 2,900 short from being a sellout. I think that because it was Thursday the people decided to save money for the weekend.

At roughly 9:05 pm the KISS BANNER came down over the front of the stage. Kiss used the same set list as previously used in San Antonio except for Paul doing a solo with I Still Love You KISS was having a great time and in high spirits. The Texas ladies made sure Paul and Gene got an eye full as they dropped thier tops to bare all. Overall great show and yea the music was good. Peter kept pounding and Ace was his ailen self.

To all the critics of KISS who bitch about the setlist just sit back n Rock N roll because we have so little time left with the Hottest Band in the World. Again Kiss Thanks for all the years of Rock N Roll.

P.S. See you guys in Houston on Tuesday 22 of August. This will be my final show in Houston and I can say I will miss this band. 27 years later and the critics can as Uncle Ted would say, "Kiss My Ass!"
