KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Tom Vetre
You know how when you sit down to a really good dinner and you have courses? That is exactly what it was like in Mansfield Mass at the Tweeter Center last night!

Skid Row took the stage and made a lot of noise. I couldn't understand the words to any of the songs, but it looked like the guys were having a good time. There weren't a lot of people in the venue at that time. Not very filling of an Appetizer.

More people streamed in and Crazy Ted took the stage. He bitched and moaned about a lot of stuff including several people in Government and some black leaders. Everyone loved it, including me! It's good to hear rock stars speak their minds! He put on a great set and kudos to Tommy Aldridge still sporting the Whitesnake era hair! An incredible drummer! This Appetizer made you want MORE!

The MAIN COURSE:

Then more and more people streamed in as songs played over the PA. The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" was turned up just before Roger Daltrey's signature scream at the end and the KISS curtain was raised as the scream filled the PA. Everyone started going ballistic! In no time, the lights were dimmed and the low bass hum filled the venue. The place was alive with evergy from every corner as the blue searchlights scanned the audience. "All Right BOSTON! You wanted the best! You GOT the best! The HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD, K I S S !!!" BOOM! There they floated down and took the stage and command of the night in full force! The crowd was absolutely HOG WILD!!! You could tell Kiss was very happy with the crowd response and just ate it up! They all made sure that tons of pics were thrown out to the audience and everyone was acknowledged for being there! "Just remember, people! Any band you go see isn't showing up to do you a favor. YOU are doing them a favor just by being there and spending your hard earned money to see them!!" Paul said to the audience. It was quite a show! They were absolutely right on. The only thing that went wrong was Ace's guitar had a delayed reaction rocket launch. And when you can say that about ANY concert, it was worth every cent!

At the end of the show, at the bowing, Pete went down to the right side of the stage and got down on his belly to do something with an audience member. Who knows what he was up to? Was he kissing somebody? Signing an autograph? Or something lewd? Who can tell? Paul even kissed a couple of girls in the front row and Ace shook hands a couple of times. At the end, Paul said: "People, do not forget us!"

That really tugged at my heart! KISS we will NEVER forget you!
