KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Steve Eads
This show was phenomenal!! The fact that I had fourth row seats didn't hurt either! Anyway, no point in going into the set list, it's the same as it has been for a while now. It was a magical night from start to finish. They all really seemed happy to be there, and you could tell they were having a good time!! One of the highlights of this show was Gene. Gene was really into the show, and was really in his demon character mode! Ace played very well. He was nailing all the leads, which was cool because the last time I saw them, on the "Psycho Circus" tour in Dayton, Ace was kinda sloppy. Ace did have a blooper at this show however. At the end of his solo, he meant to shoot out a rocket over the crowd, but it shot prematurely shall we say, before he could get it pointed over the audience!! He found it amusing of course, which it was! Paul was in fine form as usual, but I did notice some wear and tear on his voice, but who cares, he still kicked ass, even if his voice cracked here and there. Peter was pounding the drums pretty hard on this night, and he was all smiles for most of the show! That was nice to see. So, the show was incredible!! My only beef about the show was the Farewell tour book. Yes it's cool, but for some reason, they did not include the show Kiss played in Cincinnati on the "Love Gun/Alive 2" tour, in '78. Anyway, go see the show. You won't be dissapointed!! But be warned, if you are a long time Kiss fan like myself, you'll probably be depressed when it's over!!!
