KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: H. David
Since i noticed a very small review response to this show,i had to tell it as it was. this was my 5th show on the tour and it tied with louisville. i had great seats in the 3rd row middle and as each show has been basically the same it's the little things about each show that you truly enjoy. it was great to se ace and paul verbally jab back and forth in loisville and knoxville. the excellant crowd in cleveland, or freezing my ass off in columbus. the rain fell during skid row, it got misty during ted nugent, but it got HOTTER THAN HELL when the thunderous rumble from the P.A. started and it was CINNCINATI- YOU - WANTED...

On this night they were tight. most reviews seem to focus on each member without the basic fact that this is a band and not just 4 superstars, actors, characters with musical abilities. this night they actually played like a band. sure there were the solo acts by each, and i'm sure tis the egos that shall kill the giant again, but on a night when everything falls together even minor screwups bond and not destroy a performance. which leads to collective energy. on nights like these the band knows it and it transfers to the crowd. in other words it wasn't just THE ACE SHOW..THE GENE SHOW..THE PAUL SHOW.. AND THE PETER SHOW.. IT WAS KISS. the band we remember at the start when they were first trying to make an impact on the world.(and a living)

It looked like they were having fun , they sounded like they were, and when at a usual heavy metal concert you judge the show on the manic-depresive looks of the faces of the crowd, on this night it was a smile on the face of everyone in the crowd.

Every one has their personal "member" of the band that is their favorite, and i'm sure each was more than pleased. In keeping with the this was a great BAND tonight, i won't give away mine other to say that clapton,page,hendrix,richards,beck...fill in the blank can't hold a rocket to a man who can rip off tripletts while walking backwards.

So now it's ERIE PA. next. and as i am financially ruined from following this show around all i can say is as midlife changes go in trying to recapture part of your youth i did'nt cheat on my wife !
