KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Dan Richard
Hello, it's a few days after the show here in Michigan, but unfortunatley I had a funeral to go to the morning after.

So here is my take on things, it all started at 6;30 when a band out of L.A. called the beutiful animals did a 20 min set they were pretty good, sounded like your average metal california band. Next was Skid Row who did an 1/2 hour 45min set and they kicked ass.

At 8:30 or so Kiss hit the stage with DRC, they just were smoking!!! All the guys played real well did not show alot of road ware or tiredness, To me it really seemed like they were trying to juggle stuff around to make it seem different from the last stop at the Palace and grand rapids. Gene had some extra bass licks and Ace was sky high with his performance, Paul was the same ol' rock frontman never stopping to kick our asses and Peter also never missed a beat.

There was a funny moment though when gene sessed up some lyrics during Let me go . and Gene doing some mic work said Whaasup!!!!! Like on the beer commercial. Great show great night and everyone left with a smile on there face....

p.s. There was much talk while my wife and I were in line about Kiss coming back once again and playing Cobo Hall in December !! I heard this from like 8 different people so maybe you never know. Rock ON!!!!!!!!
