KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Dan
This was definitely a show to remember! Skid Row rocked! Ted Nugent is the maddest madman around and a true American Patriot!! He kicked royal ass! I don't think there could have been two better opening acts.

KISS descended upon the stage like four rock 'n roll gods and exploded into Detroit Rock City! From then on it was magical, musical, rock 'n fuckin' roll chaos! Explosions, fire bombs, flashpots, lights galore! As promised, KISS delivered a farewell show that no band today can come close to matching.

Admittedly, when the end of the show came and the guys were thanking the fans for supporting them, I was a little misty eyed as I screamed my appreciation for a band who, throughout its tenure, never failed to deliver the goods on stage.

I was glad to hear Heaven's on Fire, Lick It Up and 2000 Man. The variations in songs made this an almost entirely new experience for me. I thought the Reunion tour and the Psycho Circus tour were almost identical in songs played.

It was my son's eighth birthday so I took him along. Needless to say he will never forget this night. He's been raised on KISS since birth and couldn't wait to see the show.

Thank you KISS for getting me through the tough teen years and bringing me up when I needed a kick in the ass! Alot of what I read in your interviews as a teenager helped me realize that with perseverance and hard work you can fulfill your dreams!

Anyhow, this concert is a must see and if you miss it you will have missed the greatest show on earth. There will never be anything like this for a long time. KISS are like Howard Sterm; they started it all and have done it all and anyone else is just a cheap imitation.

God speed Ace, Peter, Gene and Paul!!
