KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: David Weisberg
We drove in From Kalamazoo Michigan. I must say, Gund Arena is Probably the nicest arena I've been to. Anyway, Skid Row wasn't as bad as people have said. The sound was so so. Played they're hits for 30 minutes. Ted was.....just Ted. My only concern about him was that his remarks are VERY racist and a lot of kids were there. He was entertaining though. Now for KISS. The beginning is the best yet. I noticed that everything on the stage was something used on previous tours. The platform that gene, paul, and ace come down on was the same platform used on the animalize tour. There were tons of speakers/amps on the stage. The staircase was cool. Same redundant setlist. Sound was great. Paul's voice was the best I've ever heard. When he flew out to the center during Love Gun the contraption he flew out on stopped about 4 feet short of the stage and I saw him yell out to his crew "come on fuckers"!! Gene was in fine form. Ace played well but seemed sluggish and late to the mic several times. Peter played great and hard. I give the show an 8 out of 10. The stage and pyro were good. Paul's raps were old and loud. The setlist really needs to change. At least you know when to go to the bathroom!
