KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Tom Hamilton
1979, 1983, 1997 and 2000......What can I say but just like a fine wine they get better with age! For the most part the show is everything that the other reviews have informed us of and then some. The opening acts of Skid Row and Ted Nugent were good, not being a fan of either they put on a good show. KISS however kicked some major butt! Peter was a little weak looking, but for someone who is in his 50's he can still rock. Gene was on his game this night working hard to get the crowd of 12,500 (sold out) on their feet and singing along. Ace was on fire but did miss a few notes here and there but he was still great. He asked the crowd if anyone really thought that his guitar really flew...... As for Paul he sounded great and did his usual Paul routine and the crowd (women) wanted more. All the stunts went off without any problems and all four of them seemed to be having a good time. The show went for aboaut 2 hours & 15 minutes.

I would just like to thank Ace, Peter, Paul and Gene for putting on the best show anyone will ever see from a rock band and for giving me the chance to show my son (7) who his dad used to listen to as kid. I would also like to thank the 2 guys who gave my son a pick from Ace and Tommy Altridge for the drum stick. It's just to bad KISS could hang around a little longer, but I would rather go out on top too.
