KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Doyle Rausch
As always, the show was spectacular! Visually, the show was superior to the one I saw at Gund Arena 7 days earlier. I was told the Fire Marshall made the boys cut back on the pyro in C-Town, but they brought it all to C-Bus! That being said, I think the acoustics at Gund were better than Polaris. Although I was not disappointed, I really think the Reunion Tour had more energy and a much better set list. The 80's stuff was fun, but I would have rather heard Strutter, I Stole Your Love, and others just one last time. The musicianship was excellent throughout the show, all of the members seemed to be excited, and the crowd really got into it. Paul owned the audience as he always seems to do, Ace was hitting his solos, a rather chubby Gene entertained everyone, and Peter sounded great too! Overall, a very good nostalgic night. Kiss puts on the greatest concert you will ever see. Even if it doesn't top the 96-97 Tour, it will blow you away. Do NOT miss the show if you have a chance to see it. May 13 at Polaris reaffirmed my belief in the magic that can happen when all 4 play together. I wanted the best and, damn it, I got it again!
