KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Darrell Appel
I saw kiss on all three of the last tours and let me tell you this one was the best! The band was very tight.Paul's voice was great as usual.Genes voice was better than ive heard in concert for a long time.Ace was excellent and did a great job on the songs he sang.2000 man sounded great live.Peter's drum kit sounded outstanding & was very pleased to hear him sing black diamond[which paul sang on the last tour]. I was in the front row and by the looks on their faces they were all having a good time.Genes solo during GOD OF THUNDER was intense & his flying harness stunt went off without any problems.Paul had a little trouble with his when he tried to come back.He got on it 3 times before it finally worked and caused them to overrun the end of LOVE GUN.It was great to hear them play I LOVE IT LOUD a true kiss classic! The crowd was really into it,as this is the most people i'd ever seen in Polaris Ampitheater.Alot of people missed Skid Row &Ted Nugent due to constuction on I-71. There was a line of stopped traffic on the interstate for 4 miles ,of people trying to get into the show. When Kiss said they were loading up on all the pyro equipment for this tour they were not kidding. The confetti near the end of the show seemed to go on forever.Everyone in the front was covered in it by the time it ended.I will have to say ive been a Kiss fan since the early 70,s and I left the show feeling sad this will be the last time i see them. All good things must end sometime & to see them end with a show like i just saw made it all worth while.I will always remember Kiss by this last & best show!
