KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Jeff
This was my 5th time to see KISS. The thing that always gets me is thatfeeling that starts to develop about a week before the actual concert. I got it my first time (Crazy Nights...by the by Theodore also jammed with them that show also)and I got this...last time. One thing I must say is that I have never been let down by KISS live and I wasnt tonight!!!!!! First of all I got to bitch getting tickets to this show was a fiasco, seriously somebody must stop the scalpers and "ticket brokers" I finally got some great seats, just so happened ticket master released a slew of great seats about a week before the show (Section 203 row A seat 5)It rained in Dallas today so those that had lawn seats were hating life albeit faithful. We got there and hung out in the parking lot for a half an hour savoring the last beers we will drink for under four dollars for the next four hours. We finally go inside and visit the whizzer, this was weird the guys line to the john was way longer than the ladies, and then to the vender stands, by now Skid Row is playing, who cares...Theodore rocked as was to be expected. At nine pm sharp the moment had arrived they dropped the lights ansd the ominous humming that had herald in many a KISS show be fore it started...a loud explosion and the curtain drops revealing the four greats to be lowering on to the stage from the rafters...and then the most beautiful words that Dallas could hear....ALRIGHT DALLAS! YOU WANTED THE BEST AND YOU GOT THE BEST THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD...KISS!!!!! They were in excellant form. Paul was nonstop energy although his voice sounded like he might be getting hoarse soon. Gene was The Demon for two hours straight..he always rocks . Ace looked incredible he ahd not looked that good since the seventies...he's been spending his royalties on plastic surgery...Peter was great showed alot of stamina and power...but his age was really showing though....There were virtually no mistakes they were on it. THeir stunts went off with out a hitch 2 and a half hours...not bad for a bunch of 50 year olds. It sucked when Paul Stanley said Dont forget us cuz we wont forget you" because it hit home than that the band I had loved the most for 21 yearswas wrapping it up, with style though, and grace...unlike th Rolling Stones. lessee if i can remember the set list
