KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Philip McMillian
I've gotta say KISS put everything they had into this tour - more lights, flames, effects, and energy than I can ever remember, and it payed off! From the very moment the curtain came down 'til the lights finally came up after Rock And Roll All Night not a single person sat down. The show was awesome. Everything went off without a hitch. The only thing I wish they would have included was singing 'You Wanted the Best' from Psycho Circus, because that's what every KISS fan has gotten. Skid Row was okay, but their new lead singer's got to get some tighter pants if he's ever gonna get the high notes, and Ted Nugent was, well, Ted Nugent, always vocal and a lot of fun. But, the night belonged to KISS, and once again they proved to Texas and the world that all bands should be measured against them: KISS is the brass ring that every band out there needs to be reaching for - The KISS concert experience is the essence of what KISS is all about: Giving the fans by the greatest show in the history of entertainment. Like Paul said between songs, "The next time you go to see a band play remember this: THEY OWE YOU EVERYTHING". I took my two year old son who loves KISS (he'll tell you who's who) and he loved every moment. It kind of hit me at the end of Rock And Roll All Night that this was it - for the last twenty years I've always looked forward to the next album, the next tour, and now these were the final moments of the greatest night of my KISS life, and I would never get to take my son to another night like this again, and then fittingly it started raining - I guess Dallas was feeling pretty sad too. All I can say is this: Thanks Gene, Paul, Ace, & Peter, for giving us all you've got. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! And, can you imagine if our government treated it's people the same way KISS has treated their fans? What a concept!
