KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Steven
Once again, father and son came out to witness a truly great Rock-N-Roll spectacle!!!

Last time we didn't see Skid Row.This time we did,and I must say,the guys sounded great!!The band was super tight, thumping like they knew what they were doing, and even though I don't have a clue as to who the vocalist is,or where he came from,he did an admirable job covering the tunes.Of course,he had very big shoes to fill, and should feel pretty good about his job this night.

Ted rocked even more than last time. The band was tighter, and his vocal chords seemed to be in better shape, even pulling off some of the higher parts with ease.I love old uncle Teddy,no matter how much he rants and raves about this or that, that's always been his style, and he's always been true to what he believes. It's all about integrity boys and girls!!!

Speaking of integrity,.... I'm not sure if it was something in the air or what, but all 3 bands kicked ass this time around!!! Kiss took the stage and very simply rocked our asses!!!! Peter was playing extremely well tonight, and Ace did a 2001 tribute during his solo!!That was a first for me,but I get the feeling he's done it before.Paul did I still love you during his solo, and Gene did some pretty different things as well.He had alot of distortion on his bass, but I could tell it was quite different than anything I had heard from him before. He even did a cool little bass solo during Let me go Rock and Roll, totally unexpected!!!

We were alot closer this time, and when the fire pots went off we actually got to feel the heat....very cool indeed. One notable exemption was Heavens on Fire, which was cool with me,especially since Paul made up for it with I still Love you.

All in all a very memorable event,my son had the time of his life(again)and couldn't help but stand on his seat all night long, throwing his fist in the air and saluting his favorite band by singing and dancing all night long.It makes this dad proud.......Thanks KISS for the good times....we will never forget you!!!!
