KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Dan Bray
What a fantastic show put on by Kiss!! This was my first (and last unfortunately!) show with them in makeup. I also saw them on the Hot in the Shade tour long, long ago but this show blew me away. This review will be short because everything I want to say has already been said in about a zillion other fan reviews.

The set list was the same one they've been using for the last week or so. Not much was different. Everyone was in top form the whole night aside from few minor glitches that are to be expected. Ace seemed a little off solo-wise for the first few songs and the whole band seemed to get lost during the "jam-session" section of "Let me Go" but it was so minor that most people didn't even notice. The band seemed to really be having fun the whole night. Gene was really having fun with the demon character and really seemed to have a lot of energy. The stage was awesome and the pyro seemed to be just the right amount. RARAL found Gene and Ace rising on platforms at the end which they apparently only started doing the night before in Utah. The risers were not hydraulic like they were on the reunion tour and they looked a little chinsey but still a cool effect.

All in all an amazing show that will remain in my heart forever. Thanks to Kiss for 27 years of memories and one especially wonderful show.
