KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Jeff
This was my first Farewell Tour show, but after seeing it I immediately regretted passing on chances to see them in Louisville & Carbondale. I have seen KISS many times before, but this is the first time I've ever FELT them. This was an amazingly intense show. It seemed as though they cut down on the flash and just concentrated on playing great. The set list was typical, starting with DRC and ending with a blizzard of confetti during RARAN. I haven't really checked into any other reviews of the shows on this tour, but I noticed that Peter really didn't perform a solo at all. They played 100,000 Years, but when they got to the solo section Paul didn't rap with the audience that long (unless I'm totally forgetting)so Peter didn't really do much of anything. I know he's had the problems with his hands, so maybe that explains it. Ace was brilliant while Paul & Gene were their normal selves, although Gene got a big kick out of the crowd with his "waaaazzzzuuppp" line from the Budweiser commercials. In any case, this was a great show and my only regret is that they won't be back here again.
