KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Milt Bazar
Well this was my first and sure to be my most memorable Gorge show.As far as Kiss goes this was only one of many for me.First the Skids came out and totally played their hearts out.I was really impressed. Then came a totally unexpected twist in my nite.I was seated in the sixth row ,when security sat a handicapped gentlleman behind me,only to find he couldnt see,so then I was asked if i would mind moving? My first ,and only question was where? I was then told I could take a seat in the front row. Here I was front and center for Ted and Kiss. That totally made my nite.Next came Uncle Ted,well what more can be said?.Ted played up to his reputation. The Motor City Madman was teriffic. All ranting and opinions of his aside he was great.I am still not sure the stage is the place for voicing his views on sexuality, politics and race issues, but all that aside he is great. Now came the moment we were all there for,Kiss. The group came out in great spirits and looking well. The set list was the same as we've all seen already. The music sounded great. It was not uncommon to look up and see Gene and Ace fooling around. The pyrotechnics was less than to be expected for a outside show, but possibly due to dryness and possible fire danger. The high point to the evening for me was catching the neck of Pauls Washburn. The night was truly one to be remembered.Good nite and see you in Portland...
